SCHOLARSHIP

Educating our Youth

Each year Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Beta Iota Zeta Chapter awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors, single parents attending college, and children of Beta Iota Zeta members.

Opportunities

Scholarship applications are available between February and May each year. Check back in February 2024 to apply.

BIZ scholarship opportunities are as follows:  

Z.P.E.T.E. (Zeta’s Promoting Education Through Excellence)
  Awarded to a single parent continuing their post-secondary education. 

All About the BIZness Of Academics Scholarship Open to graduating high school seniors who have achieved academic success and are pursuing a degree in higher education.

Pamela D Hart Young Writers’ Scholarship (In honor of the chapter’s 1st president Pamela Hart, for her drive and dedication of turning the vision of a Bloomington/Normal chapter into a reality)
Open to graduating high school seniors who excel in education, writing, and/or demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Monica L. Taylor Community Service Scholarship (In honor of past chapter president Monica Taylor, who demonstrated a passion for giving back to the Bloomington/Normal Community)
Open to graduating high school seniors who excel in education and showing dedication in community service.  

Legacy In Zeta (L.I.Z.) Scholarship
Open to children of Beta Iota Zeta chapter members who are either graduating from high school or attending college.

Tobitha Harvey Auxiliary Scholarship (Scholarship in honor of our beloved Soror who passed away due to Leukemia.)
Open to current Beta Iota Zeta Chapter Zeta Auxiliary members who are graduating high school seniors planning to pursue a higher education.

Funding

Beta Iota Zeta Chapter hosts several events during the year to fund our various scholarships. We invite the community to participate in our events. Check our Community Events or FB page for upcoming events.

Your donations are greatly appreciated as they help us in our mission to support our principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood in the Bloomington and Normal communities.
